With prior permission from Principal, National Engineering College (Autonomous), a team of IIC coordinators, faculty and student members of IIC, AAACET has visited their Incubation Center on 24.12.2020.Dr.K.Manisekar, Senior Faculty Member, Professor& Head/Mech, Manager Business Incubator, NEC addressed us about the Business Incubation cell. He addressed the following points : National Engineering College is awarded with NewGen IEDC scheme in the academic year 2017-18. The NEC NewGen IEDC centre is established in NEC and successfully completed two academic years and developed 25 number of commercially viable products. 22 numbers of patents are filed from the outcomes of the projects and 2 student start-ups are developed. Based on the infrastructure facilities and intellectual potential of the faculties, S&T institutions awarded by this scheme along with initial establishment and annual recurring grant to establish and functions the centre. Further, each student’s project will be funded for developing a commercially viable product. All the department of NEC has separate Product Innovation center.

Dr.Vinoth, CO of Business Incubator has given the ideas for start-ups. Mr.ShanmugaSundaram, Entrepreneur form 2018 passed out student given idea about start-ups. He has developed the project in the topic of “Car spare parts recycling” in Mechanical Field. Dr.I.Sankar Chief Coordinator of Incubation Center has demonstrated the over view of start-up projects available in Ideation lab and Creation Lab.

Followed by the visit, a meeting has been conducted along with Chairperson and President, IIC, and members visited for further initiative and development of IIC activities and Incubation centre in our AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi.
