The second, third & fourth year Civil Engineering students visited a hospital construction site located near Government Hospital Virudhunagar, on 26^th march 2021. The site engineer Mr. Muthu, explained the details of proposed hospital building, importance of soil tests and demonstrated the marking of foundation. The students also visited an independent residential three storeyed building in which the ground floor was constructed purely by stones so that the building remains cool even during the hot summer. The students were also given practice to mark the measurements of building on the site. This visit benefited students as they acquired practical knowledge. Ms.C.Karpagalakshmi, AP/Civil and Mr.M.Siva Sankar, AP/Civil accompanied the students
