Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi, in association with IETE Student Forum organized “National Level Technical Symposium – VALIANT’2022 on 14.10.2022. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr.B.Sankar Madaswamy, Scientist / Engineer – SF, Manager, HRD, ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bangalore. The Function started with a prayer song and Mr. R. Suriyamoorthy, Second Year ECE welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. Sevugarajan, Professor and Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering gave the inaugural address and briefed about the professional laboratories in the department apart from the Anna University curriculum. He also informed the students that the workshops will be conducted at these laboratories during the symposium. Ms. R. Oviya of Third year Electronics and Communication Engineering introduced the chief guest. Dr. M. Sekar, Principal, delivered felicitation address and it was followed by presentation of a memento as a token of love and affection to the chief guest.
Mr.B.Sankar Madaswamy, during his address presented the detailed explanation about the various satellites that has been launched by ISRO and provided information about various research centre associated with ISRO such as Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Space Applications Centre (SAC), U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC). He discussed about the ISRO’s various Satellite Launch Vehicles, Gagan Satellite Navigation System, Infra structure facilities of ISRO and its research findings through Chandrayan and Mangalyan space mission. More than 100 participants from various colleges are actively participated in the symposium,
Technical events such as Prototype presentation, Circuitix, Technofrenz, Best Engineer and Advertisement and Non technical events such as Memorax, Jazz on, Duo Dance Performance, Gaming and Online events such as Meme Master and Mobile Blow up were conducted were conducted for the external participants. Prototype presentation around 20 technical papers were presented by various college students in the area Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Automation, Block Chain, Solar Mobile Charger, etc.
Circuitix event which tests the very basics of electronics, this is an on the spot event which gives the opportunity to showcase the students skills at designing and implementing electronic circuits. First round the aptitude test, which tests the basics of digital and analog knowledge of the participants. A problem statement was provided to the participants building a circuit based on the given problem statement. The accuracy and the approach in building the circuit is observed. Technofrenz event on the spot technical topic is given to the participants after two minutes they have to talk about the topic.
Best Engineer event was conducted by to test the technical and managerial skill of the students.
Advertisement event one product is given to the students on the spot after 3 minutes they have to market that product in a best manner.
The programme was well organized by Faculty Co-ordinators Mrs. K. Padmapriya, AP/ECE, Mr. C. Shanmugaraja, AP/ECE, Mr. G. Jayahari Prabhu, AP/ECE, and Student Co-ordinators D. Jailakshman, final year ECE, B. Swetha, final year ECE, and S. Shuruthi Saba, third year ECE. During the Valedictory function, Participants provided their feedback about the symposium and Mr. B. Sankar Madaswamy, distributed the prizes and certificates to winners. Ms. B. Swetha, Student Coordinator- Valiant’22 delivered the vote of thanks. Finally the programme ended with the National Anthem.
