Sivakasi, AAA College of Engineering &Technology organized a special Guest Lecture “Global Trends in Science & Technology-India’s Challenges and Opportunities” on March 2, 2018 around 10 a.m. in the college A/C seminar hall. Prof.Dr.Vijendra Agarwal, Former Executive Fellow in the white house office of science and technology policy, USA was the guest of honor of the programme. Joint Secretary Er. K. Vignesh Kumar B.E., MBA (UK) headed over the programme. Dr.R.Jegannathan, Former Vice–Chancellor, Middle East University, UAE delivered the felicitation address.The chief guest in his speech insisted that Change is inevitable and constant. Only education could change the nation, especially women’s education and advised the students to be equipped with a thorough knowledge in their domain and upgrade themselves in recent technology. Students are the future and it’s their obligation to the society’s development in a collaborative nature and they should develop their entrepreneurial skills, he added. He insisted the students to get inspired with what they are learning, excel their technical competency skills and contribute to the society’s betterment. He encouraged the students to know the ‘don’t knows in science and technology’. He added that the younger generation need to possess 4Ts – Talent, Technology, Team Work, Think critically to solve problems and communicate effectively. He further appreciated the Indians’ cleverness in make-do technologies.
