About the Department
The Civil Engineering Department at AAA College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2013, recognizing the pivotal role of Civil Engineering as the cornerstone of all engineering disciplines and its enduring relevance in meeting fundamental human needs. Civil Engineering stands as the bedrock upon which societies thrive, shaping our environments for the betterment of humanity. Civil Engineers are the architects of our modern world, responsible for the creation of awe-inspiring structures that define our landscapes.
In fostering industry collaboration, the Department of Civil Engineering at AAACET has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of All Civil Engineers Association of Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry (FACEAT). Through the Students Chapter of FACEAT at AAACET, an array of activities and events are organized to enrich the student community’s learning experience.
These activities, conducted in collaboration with the Technical Association of Civil Engineering Department (CESA), encompass guest lectures delivered by eminent academicians and industry professionals, technical quizzes, group discussions, modelling contests, CADD contests and code cracking contests. training programs, nurturing student’s holistic development and ensuring their readiness for the competitive demands of the industry.Frequent guest lectures by industry experts serve to bridge the gap between theoretical curriculum and real-world projects, while practical exposure is facilitated through internships and in-plant
The department is committed to facilitating students in securing lucrative job opportunities in both core engineering and IT sectors by providing comprehensive placement training encompassing aptitude, soft skills and technical expertise. This holistic approach has proven highly successful, evidenced by the significant number of our alumni currently employed in prestigious construction companies and government sectors. Furthermore, students are actively encouraged to pursue higher education through specialized coaching for competitive exams like GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

Moreover, the department extends its expertise through consultancy services offered to construction firms, specializing in the testing of building materials, thereby contributing to industry advancements and standards.

With a faculty comprising 10 dedicated members, including 3 Ph.D. holders and 1 currently pursuing a Ph.D., our department ensures a rich academic environment driven by expertise and ongoing scholarly pursuits.
