The Department of Physical Education of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi organized the first AAA Trophy 2019, A State level Inter School Volleyball tournament for both boys and girls category on 26.07.2019 and 27.07.2019 respectively. The tournament began with the welcome address delivered by Mr. G. Ram Prasadh, Captain of the AAA Volleyball team after which the Secretary, Dr. P. Karvannan and Joint Secretary, Er. K. Vigneshkumar along with the Principal, Dr. M. Sekar officially inaugurated the tournament. A total of 16 schools participated in the boy’s category and 12 schools participated in the girl’s category.
Among the boy’s team, the G.S. Hindu Higher Secondary School, Srivilliputhur and Nadar Higher Secondary School, Rajapalayam competed in the final match in which the Nadar Higher Secondary School, Rajapalayam were the winners of the first AAA Trophy 2019 and G.S. Hindu Higher Secondary School was declared the runners.
The matches for the girl’s category were conducted on 27.07.2019 which was inaugurated by the Vice Principal Dr. P. Sennikannan and the final match was between Cornation Girl’s higher Secondary School, Sivakasi and Nadar Higher Secondary School, Rajapalayam in which the Nadar Higher Secondary School, Rajapalayam won and bagged the winner’s trophy.
The winners, runners and participants were distributed with trophies and certificates by the Correspondent, Dr. P. Ganesan who also felicitated all the players and their coaches. The Physical Directors of all the teams were also rewarded with mementoes. Mr. A. Mano Ranjith of Nadar Higher Secondary School, Rajapalayam and Ms. R.Rajeswari of the same schoolwere declared the Players of the tournament and were recognized with trophies.
The tournament came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. G. Surya Prakash, Vice-Captain of AAA Volleyball team. The tournament was organized by the College Management and conducted by Mr. K. Rajkumar, Physical Director, AAACET, Sivakasi along with the guidance and help rendered by the Virudhunagar District Volleyball Association, its President Mr. Ponni and other referees.
