E -Yantra Robotics Lab
PREAMBLE
AAACET established Centre for eYantra Robotics laboratory in association with IIT Bombay in the year of 2016 with an installation of cost of Rs. 4.5 Lakhs. This laboratory is located at the IIIrd floor of Cambridge block and it is set up with the Firebird V , Spark V Robots, advanced microcontrollers, sensors & actuators, interfacing devices and network Interfaces.
The major objectives of the e-Yantra Center are:
- To Provide knowledge on the basic concepts of embedded systems and Robotics.
- To create the next generation of embedded systems engineers with a practical outlook to help provide practical solutions to some of the real-world problems.
- To encourage the students to participate in various Robotic competitions at national and international level confidently.
- Enhance the problem-solving skills with an integrated approach while working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects like Robotics.
- Organize various events like special lectures, seminars, workshops and certification courses for enhancing the students’ knowledge on embedded systems and robotics.
OUTCOMES:
After successful completion of the course, the students are able to
- Identify the basic components and sensors for designing various type of robots based on the requirements.
- Interface various types of sensors and modules with firebird V and Spark V robots.
- Analyze various communication protocols and modules used in robots
- Design robots using advanced microcontrollers and embedded systems
- Design robots for home automation and IOT based applications.
