Moving upwards in age, SONYFEST megaevent steps into the fifth year of cultural celebrations. SONYFEST platform is fashioned to identify the amateur artists and bring to light their artifacts. This platform has shaped a number of talented artists and is still surprised with new and young artists coming up every year. The first week of the fest is crammed with off stage events, starting with Language Focused Events: Elocution, Creative Writing and Star Wars are a few to mention.The second week kicks off with a new gallery of events when things become more interesting. The fun continues watching the participation in Vegetable Carving, Rangoli, Dumscharade and ADZAP. Vegetables and Fruits add beauty to humans. It is a fun to reverse this psychology and the students go crazy adding beauty to fruits and vegetables by carving designs. Colours are the reflection of nature and they rejuvenate our minds. There is a spectacular display of colours on the day of Rangoli Competition. Flowers and lights add life to the colours of the Rangoli. “Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter” – John Keats. Our students proved that it is not only sweeter but also funnier to comprehend the secret codes in Dumbcharade. Lights, Camera, Action and at the click of every board in ADZAP, there is a new Advertising Director promoting a brand new product. An array of advertisements entertained the audience.
Sonyfest opens the doors for its hugely popular and delicious competition “Cooking” at the end of the fortnight. With the overwhelming participants, there is a tough competition for the recreational cooks. Flavored and mouth-watering vegetarian dishes are prepared by them. There is a feast to the taste buds of the professional cook-cum-judges. The extremely enthusiastic show for the audience is the Dance. Dance with delightful music is a wonderful expression of the hidden language of the soul. The audiences cheer as the dancers dance to the tune. Next on the row is a professional task – Best Manager – which aims at developing every aspect of experience and exposure needed by the students to manage situations in the work environment.
