The Institution Industry Partnership Cell (IIPC) was established to foster a strong connection between the institute and industry, ensuring a symbiotic relationship that benefits both. This policy outlines the objectives, functions, and responsibilities of the cell to bridge the gap between academia and industry effectively.
Objectives
- Identify and understand industrial expectations.
- Promote institutional preparation to meet industrial needs through sponsored R&D projects, seminars, workshops, and industrial training programs.
- Contribute to the educational system by aligning academic curriculum with industry requirements.
- Equip faculty with the latest industry practices.
- Make students industry-ready by providing exposure to current industry practices and enhancing their skills to adapt to changing technologies.
- Interact with elite industries to establish partnerships
Functions of the IIPC
- Bridge the gap between Industry-Institute through interactive programs.
- Promote a partnership approach towards mobilizing industrial personnel.
- Arrange industrial visits for students.
- Organize seminars, symposiums, exhibitions, and workshops for faculties and students in cutting-edge technologies.
- Facilitate industrial training for students and faculty members.
- Identify opportunities for student project work in industries.
- Encourage department-level tie-ups or MoUs with industries.
- Promote consultancy activities and research and developmental activities with industry.
- Enrich the teaching-learning process through identified industrial gaps.
- Invite industry experts for guest lectures, seminars, brainstorming sessions, and expertise sharing.
