The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of AAACET organized one day workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights“on November 23rd 2019 (Saturday). The resource persons were Mrs.Gomathi Padma Thilaga, registered Patent Agent and Dr.I.Sankar, Secretary, NEC IPR Cell, National Engineering College, Kovilpatti. Mrs.Gomathi Padma Thilaga, in her address, elaborated the different patent systems in India and other nations. She also discussed about patent filing procedure and the different forms of Intellectual property. Dr.I.Sankar discussed about the steps in Product design to obtain patent. He also gave hands on training on Patent Search using different search engines. About 45 faculty members participated in this programme and get benefitted.
